Took a bit of a break trying to work out some professional and personal issues. Anyway, I’ve decided to give Sweet Thing my all in 2014. I’m using this year to straigthen out my finances, try out recipes, and really buckle down and focus on what I want. I just want to make sure that when I do this, I’m prepared. I know that I’m more than a year out (Spring 2014, baby!), but there’s so much to do between now and then: getting my credit on track, raising money,and mentally preparing for the life of an entrepreneur. Scary, but in a good way.
With that out of the way, here’s some of the stuff going on in my brain:
-I want to have a pop up in the next few months to raise moola
-Definitely going to focus on ice cream sandwiches and ice pops for spring/summer
-Product liability insurance
-Licenses from the city
The most important thing is getting product out to the masses. Making some cold hard cash would be nice, but it’s not the be all, end all. I’m about to enter into busy season at work; should definitely be interesting trying to juggle work and the beginnings of a business. We’ll see what happens.
